Refurbishment for Haas Automation Ltd
At the end of February 2019, we were approached by Doug Baker, Technical sales manager for Haas Automation Ltd in Norwich to ask about the refurbishment of their long-serving Freddy. After forwarding a few pictures, Doug asked about smartening up the machine as it occasionally made public appearances when commissioning and decommissioning machines for shows and displays.
We thought it would be nice to do something special to support Haas, and suggested painting the Freddy in their colours.
Doug supplied us the RAL codes so that we could mock-up the colour scheme and submit to him for approval.
A quick approval followed, and the machine was stripped, burned, and blasted ready for testing prior to its new colours.
Once finished we shared pictures with Doug. However, rather than returning to Norwich, Haas thought it had turned out so well they would commandeer it for the showroom at the demonstration showroom at the Haas F1 Team in Banbury.
You can see from the pictures to the right the journey their Superminor has been on, from initial return, colour mock up, to finished, fully refubished machine.
